Blackboard: How to embed LearnSci resources using the Blackboard text editor (LTI 1.3)
The LearnSci LTI 1.3 Tool can not only be used to add standalone activities and add resources to your assignments within your courses, but it can also be used to embed LearnSci content almost
anywhere you can edit text, for example in page resources, or inside quiz questions, thereby allowing you to seamlessly embed the resources into your own teaching materials.
Before you start:
- The LearnSci LTI 1.3 tool must have been preconfigured by a Blackboard administrator - if you can’t find it using these instructions, please contact us and we’ll advise further.
- Pre-existing resources added using our old tool will still work for a limited time for your reference, but it’s important that you re-add anything you wish to use using this new tool.
- iPhone and iPad users on iOS may encounter difficulty launching activities added using the method below. In this case, you can use this workaround.
- Note: The method outlined below is not suitable for embedding assessments that need to be added to your gradebook. These must be added directly to your course page.
