Adding LearnSci Resources using the Content Selector
Our new LTI 1.3 tool enables teachers to add our resources to their courses by simply selecting them from a list. This should reflect the subscription at your institution, if you think this is wrong or missing items, please get in touch.
How to preview resources
You can open any of the resources to review them before deciding whether to add them to your course(s). Once you've opened the tool in your LMS (or in Moodle, after you click 'select content'), you should see a content selection window. Click inside the content selector box and select a resource type to add:
You will then see a list of resources that you can add to your course. The activity titles are also links - click on these to preview each resource in a pop up window.
How to add content
There are two columns containing checkboxes in the content selection window, one adds the resource to your course and the other (if supported by the activity type) adds it to your gradebook in your own LMS:
You can add Smart Worksheets or assessments to your course, with or without adding them to your own gradebook according to your own needs.
You can select as many resources as you like to add to your course, and when you've finished, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the add content button.
Important: If you want to use either LabSims or Smart Worksheets for assessment, you will need to request that a unique custom assessment is made available for you to add. It is essential that you have your own assessments set up, so that your students' attempts don't get mixed up with those from other classes or modules. To do that, please fill in one of these online forms:
