Error: A required parameter (Oath_Consumer_Key) was missing

If you see the error message below, A required parameter (Oath_Consumer_Key) was missing, when opening a Learning Science resource it could be due to one of the following issues:

Issue 1: The LTI URL for the Learning Science activity has not been embedded correctly.

If you click on an LTI URL to open it directly in your browser it will not let you access the resource, instead you will be presented with an error message on the browser page like the one above.

Fix: Embed the activity following the correct integration guide for your VLE/LMS. You can find all of the integration guides here.

Issue 2: The Consumer Key has not been set up correctly.

If the Learning Science LTI tool has been configured on your VLE/LMS
Fix: You will need to get in touch with your VLE/LMS administrator who can check that the Consumer Key has been set up correctly.

If the Learning Science LTI tool has not been configured on your VLE/LMS
Fix: You will need to edit the settings on the Learning Science resource that is causing the error message and check that the Consumer key has been entered correctly.
