Enabling Third-Party Cookies in Safari on iOS (iPhone & iPad)
Some of our learning tools and activities require the use of third-party cookies. By default, Safari on iPhone and iPad may block these cookies, which can cause problems when launching external resources (such as LTI tools inside your Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).
Follow the steps below to make sure third-party cookies are allowed.
Step 1: Open Settings
Step 2: Go to Safari Settings
Step 3: Turn Off “Prevent Cross-Site Tracking”

Under the Privacy & Security section, look for Prevent Cross-Site Tracking.

Make sure this option is switched OFF.
This allows Safari to accept third-party cookies needed for some online learning tools.
Step 4: (Optional) Allow All Cookies

Still under Privacy & Security, check that Block All Cookies is switched OFF.

Normally this is off by default. If it is on, websites won’t be able to save login information or keep you signed in.
Step 5: Close and Re-open Safari
Troubleshooting
If you are still experiencing issues, try clearing your Safari history and website data:

If problems persist, consider using an alternative browser such as Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge on your iOS device.
✅ You should now be able to access LearnSci activities and tools without cookie-related errors.
